The Blessing And The Curse is a feature-length documentary film that goes to the heart of an infamous 2011 terrorist attack that took the lives of five members of the Fogel family, stabbed to death in their beds in the West Bank settlement of Itamar. The film examines how the people of this isolated Jewish community dealt with the tragedy, exploring what it means to be a “settler,” what motivates someone to move to this disputed land and live within a barbed wire fence, surrounded by hostile neighbors.
